| One day in math class Benny decided to answer a question out of turn. It was another student's turn to answer a math question, and as he was placing it on the chalkboard the teacher Ms. Tartan reminds Benjamin, as she does every student, not to talk out of turn when he or she does. Becoming defensive, Benny snaps angrily, "Leave me alone! You are always picking on me!" He yelled so loud that he could be heard in the adjacent classrooms. Ms Tartan dismisses him from class immediately to see the principal. The principal Mr. Richfield does not understand Benny's behavior either. Young Benjamin Berrington is in his office almost everyday for one of many reasons. These reasons include, fist fighting, speaking profanity around teachers, being late for class; but the the main reasons he visits the principal so often are talking out of turn in class and raising his voice at teachers. Benny is in Mr. Richfield's office looking at the large number of potted plants and pictures that decorates the office. While Mr. Richfield is speaking, Benny is looking at the plants he admire that decorates this office. There are probably more than thirty individual plants in his room. (scroll down and cont...) (Link to picture ) (continue) Several of the plants, including a particualr ivy in a bright red pot, are dying from lack of care, or Mr. Richfield is unable to take care of them. The one dying ivy in the red pot is tied on a two foot long stick and is made up of several viny branches. The viny branches drop about two feet from the top of the stick to the sides of the pot. Half of the leaves on the plant has fallen from the plant and the remaining half are withering. Mr. Richfield is giving Benny a long lecture with words Benny has heard many times in the past.
